Pressure Records – Miami (1980)
Bruno – drums
Peter Patrick – vocals
Christopher Bacon – guitar & vocals
Ray Harris – bass & vocals
Power pop from Miami minus the power. By 1981 or 1982, it was a given that wearing colorful sneakers didn’t necessarily mean your band was new or exciting. In 1980, Floridians were still figuring that out. I’m sure these dudes kept clubowners happy who never ever wanted to see the Smegmettes on their stage again. The record - each song is fairly non-descript and pleasant enough until the slowdowns in the middle, which are cringe-worthy on both songs.
